Seventh Generation Volkswagen GTI

The owner of this GTI, Jeff, is friend at work.   

This car has a 2L 16-valve turbocharged inline four. It makes a lot of power for a car this light. 

It has a limited-travel suspension and wide low-profile tires for excellent control and feedback. Jeff says it drives like a go-cart. 

It has great seats with generous bolsters that hold you in place and let you know what’s happening underneath you. 

I really appreciate the build quality of German cars. They are firm and tight and precise. 

This little car oozes personality. Look at the plaid tartan seat fabric.  

I confess that I have a soft spot in my heart for Volkswagen hatchbacks. My first two cars were Rabbits and my third was an eight-valve GTI. I would put another in my garage again in a heartbeat.
