Hi.

Welcome to my blog. These are cars I would put in my garage if I could. Hope you have a nice stay!

This was my 1977 Mk1 Golf (Rabbit). I called it my “Mad Rabbit”. I learned a lot from working on this car. I had a good guide in Lenny (@lbasaj11). He was my automotive guru; teaching me brakes, dampers, springs and much more.

I remember these modifications: bored-out cylinders, decked block, milled head, three-angle valve job, Neuspeed cam, Neuspeed throttle body, tube header and MONZA muffler.

You can see the Scirocco wheels I got from a salvage yard, and those Bosch driving lights. This car was easy to work on, and so fun to drive.

You can tell that I completely neglected the body work. I put all my money and effort into the mechanicals. It was all function and no form (all go and no show).

These old photos are funny. It was the eighties. With the self-portrait, I was learning to use the timer on a borrowed SLR.
